Abstract The active biomass of cultivated plants and average yield decreases as a result biotic abiotic stress effect. extent the reduction can be quantified on basis remotely sensed data. aim this research is to evaluate suitability Landsat 8 data for wheat estimation. We processed recordings period 2013–2019 generated NDVI Time series were calibrated validated with observed averages. agricultural plots around Karcag, Hungary, our area. relation between was strongest highest in total ( R 2 = 0.53–0.54) estimation error based RMSE 0.48–0.7 t.ha ?1 .
